thought signals is my personal blog. It’s about stuff I find interesting.
“Interesting” is a moving target for me, so over time a lot of different stuff is likely to accumulate here.
Subjects I’m likely to touch on
- Writing (including my day job as a journalist and content developer)
- Science and technology
- Productivity
- Health and fitness
- Fiction and storytelling
- Media and journalism
- Entrepreneurship and business
- Teaching
- Other things I’m not quite thinking of right now.
I hope you like it. If you do, please leave a comment, send me an email and tell your friends about it.
A bit about me
I’m a writer, entrepreneur, father and lifelong learner.
I’m from Canada but have lived in the United States for my entire adult life, graduating from high school and college here. In 2017 I (finally) got my U.S. citizenship (yay!).
During college I tried out a few majors — physics, computer science, accounting — before getting an English degree. I’ve worked in journalism, PR and marketing, and teach communications at Elon University part-time. Along the way I also got an MBA.
I have a couple kids, a couple cats, a seemingly never-ending to-do list. I am old enough that I no longer secretly think I am still in my 20s, but young enough to believe that the best days are still ahead.
